Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MacroTracker mobile application and related services (the "App"), operated by MacroTracker ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

MacroTracker helps you track calories, macros, and nutrition using photo-based food recognition, barcode and label scanning, and manual food search. Estimates provided by the App are approximations and may not be perfectly accurate.

Not Medical Advice

MacroTracker is a nutrition-tracking tool, not a medical device. Nothing in the App constitutes medical, dietary, or health advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a history of disordered eating.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and Billing

  • MacroTracker offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription with additional features.
  • Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device, and are subject to their respective terms and billing cycles.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their own refund policies; we do not process payments or refunds directly.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the App's operation or security.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful to others.
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or entity.

User Content

You retain ownership of any photos, meals, or other content you submit to the App. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use it solely to provide and improve the App's features, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by MacroTracker and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding beyond what is necessary to use the App as intended.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nutrition estimates may be inaccurate and should not be relied upon as your sole source of nutritional information. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MacroTracker is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
